Afew weeks ago my n/a RB30 VL lost all the coolant and pissed it on the floor, i careful drove it home and then added new coolant, i found a leaking hose and repaired it but now the car is actting up.
the low coolant light comes on and off every so often.
it starts but after abit of idleing it dies....i started it today and revved it to keep it going and then drove it around the block, it turned itself off while i was turning a corner, i then started it up again and drove it some more before it shut down again, luckly home was down the road, it started and i made it home...thankfully the roads where quiet or i would have had a crash. (if that big truck behind me was going any faster......!)
battery? fuel pump? air in the coolant system? im not sure whats going on.
ne ideas, id love. thanks.
is it ideling low? it sounds like the afm and whenever you drop your revs it dies? dont think he has electric problems by the sounds of it just a air/fuel problem. I had the same thing a while ago, changed the afm and was fine ever since
and for the coolant did you bleed the coolant when you put it back in? might be air in the lines so the coolant isnt filled right up.
mine has done that about 3 times..
when giving it, it just dies
wont start, has no power whatsoever
no horn even!
i have to turn the key off wait 10 seconds t hen start it, and it goes fine like nothing happened
when you say its shutting down, do u mean it has low idle and eventually just dies? and same for around the corner? because your not giving it revs its dieing? or is it idleing ok
My car was having the same problem, dying out of nowhere when revs not up. At first i would just wait 20secs and it would start straight away no problems but then it started happening more and more frequently. I replaced ignition coil & crank angle sensor and its never missed a beat since.
