why would u take the top half of the inlet off to fix a head gasket? looks like the hood has been left up for some time.. best of luck with it, a few hours of fun work there. btw, what tune do the horns play?

Do not super charge it. Unless your going to use a vortech style charger. That's my tip lol! There's a lot of work in that car that's for sure. Keep us updated

yeah crs has a supercharger kit that bolts on where the p/s and a/c would "usually" go. and thats about $2000 so yeah.. finished the shockers and control arms today. their still at work and ill pick them up tomorow and fit tomorrow night. i figured it was easier to send the control arms to pedders and let them get their hands dirty. for cost of $80.... my bushes.. their ball joints.. who can argue with that!

Looks great mate. Love the colour. Couple of things - you've been stooged with your front seats. They're SL/Executive seats. You've got the Berlina instrument cluster and doortrims, see if you can get some grey Berlina seats to match up. If you have trouble getting VN V8 calipers, they're the same on VLT, VR-VS V6 as well. Or I have a pair with rebuild kits, you just need to put the kits in. Is it series one (silver door handles)? I see no cruise control either. Also, probably wouldn't prop your auto up on the steering rack.... Anyway, good stuff mate. Good to see another mechanic on the site. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah me too mate, its pacific blue with a more metallic pearl. i am unsure as too what series it is as any of the exterior/interior bits could have been swapped with other bits but it does have chrome exterior door handles. and no cruise control. any way to tell series from vin? it has a different drivers seat that i believe may be calais. it is like a dark grey colour as in pic and has a push/pull handle on the side to adjust height. the rest of the seats are the same, light grey/silver with lines across them. they dont have the adjuster so yeah. how much could i convince you to put the kits in for me?? haha

mate, in the "technical articals" thread on this site, there is a VIN calculator thing. just your VIN into that and it will tell you heaps of stuff about your car.
