guys ive done this many tims and never had this problem, conected a set of 6x9 on the shelf of my daily with a small audioline amp, sounds cristal clear and way loud enough for me problem is as soon as i start the car the speakers buzz off there head, i tried 2 difrent amps 1 x audioline and 1 x cadence so its not the amp, i made sure the rca and the power wire were run down difrent sides of the car, now im just running them on full mode (not low or high pass) but when i switch to low pass the buzzing disapears......could it just be the rca leads, if it was then wouldnt it do it even on low pass? its really pissing me off and its due in to vic rds tomorrow to get rego so i want it fixed tonight, its only coming through the back speakers (rears have the amp only) plzzzz helpppp

I used to have a similar problem and it turned out to be a dodgy earth wire

If you can't hear the buzzing in low pass mode, it probably just means that the frequency of the buzzing is higher than the low pass crossover frequency. For example, if the buzzing is at 500hz and your low pass is at 80hz, the buzzing will be filtered out. As for the problem itself, I dunno. Possibly poor shielding on the RCA lead, and/or your RCA lead is too close to the car's wiring loom. I don't know what else to check.

i changed rca's and it didnt chance at all, the cars wiring harness is on the oposite side which is where i put the power wire

Is the head unit and amp both grounded to a scraped bare metal part of the car with proper star earthing washers? May not be your problem but i have found often some earth's can look as if they're nicely contacting but they actually don't work all that well.

I had the same problem. Had the power and rca's running down different sides and the gain down the middle. After doing that the problem was still there. So the easiest way I fixed the problem was to buy a noise filter. It just connects to the rca's near the head unit.(so easy). You can buy a noise filter from any car audio place. Or a website. http://www.bizrate.com/caraccessorie...se+filter.html (http://www.bizrate.com/caraccessories/products__keyword--rca+noise+filter.html)
