Hey my mates copped a bit of action from the bris floods.. his daily ed falcoon has copped water about halfway up the doors.. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this kind of water & what would you recommend to get through it. I am only asking because he cant be stuffed doing the work & if I get it going I can use it/abuse it as a work hack. It sat in the water for about 3 hours like that & I was thinking draining the oil and cranking the motor over without the plugs in it. & maybe dumping the transmission as well.

i'd also use compressed air and a blow gun to blow out/dry all electrical conections, undo all plugs as water will sit in them, might ned a new computer if its in the kick panels if it was under water too. electrics is what you need to be mainly concerned with as water and electrical components dont go well together

If this was a case of those bad storms in QLD, well mate unfortunately it was very salty floods so, the car will never be the same, obviously ed is a fairly old car and it will give nothing but headache in the future... The amount of corrostion caused later on is actually dangerous. Sorry to say this but salvage what you can and save up some $$$ you can replace an ed for $500...
