my car is for sale, would like to sell it before christmas if i can, if you interested got in touch! VL Calais Manual RB30T hey all, it has finally come selling my pride and joy. It's a series 2 87 calais. Paint is in excellent condition, interior is very good for it's age, only showing a bit of wear on the driver's door card. So far is has gone 11.91@121mph on STREET tires with the old mx7 it had in it. Since then is had made another 40hp and gained a lot of top end with the new inlet. Andy (OVL087) had the same setup as this except auto with some good fuel, and went 10.8@124.8pmh with slicks. There are many brissy guys that can attest to the speed and response of this car, the dyno figures don't do it justice. Specs below. Engine WISECO forgies ARP rod bolts ARP head studs Modified oil pump and crank galleries TIGHE cams cam Heavier valve spring + retainers to suit Adjustable cam gear 6Boost low-mount manifold, HPC X-treme coated and wrapped TIAL 44mm gate Genuine GARRETT GT3082R (gt3040) roller bearing turbo RAJAB inlet manifold ARE 610x570x79 cooler with custom stainsless piping Reco'd starter motor Fuel Rotchester injectors Hi-volume volvo intank pump, + bosch 044 external PFI fuel rail, single feed + dual drain + speed flow to suit SX fuel regulator + speed flow to suit Computer MoTeC m4 with advanced tune/logging. MoTeC CDI ignition with mercury CDI coil QLD ignition leads Gearbox RB25DET 5spd, had 28, 000km on the speedo of the car i personally pulled it out from. Had always run redline oil since i have had it Full face 3400lbs clutch Rebuilt turbo 2pc tailshaft with heavy uni's Diff Standard BW housing Detroit locker New billet axels (less than 6000kms on them) 3.71 gears Solid pinion spacer Upper control arm mount rewelded on diff and on body Whole diff has had a rebuild less than 12,000km ago Brakes VT twin pistion fronts, x-drilled and slotted with EBC green stuff pads standard rears Stereo Kicker 300x(?) amp Kenwood 6x9's, 4" splits at front (nothing cut) Poineer head-deck MTX 12" sub 3" exhaust turbo back Autometer Ultra-light boost, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure Battery in boot Manual steering rack Proper fuse rail Pedders sport ryder suspension New bushes throughout Turbosmart v-port BOV AVC-R control Valve run by the motec motec shift light Mod Plate for everything that can be done I have tried to do everything in this car the RIGHT way, not the CHEAP way. If you think it's expensive, please say so, but keep the above point in mind. Everything in this car has been replaced over the last 4years, from brakes to bushes. Price is neg depending if you want the wheels and plates, looking for 18900. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Quote: I wonder if ollie know's how much more power you got from your last tune grant???? Is it like top secret info or something ? I guess we'll all find out when Grant races it after Christmas, if he does... should be interesting to see if it runs 121mph again, or if it runs 130mph.. Just for a comparison... and im only saying this because I dont know of any cars that have raced at willowbank that have come off the dyno that you guys use Rick, so not sure how it compares with figures compared to other dynos... but my own car makes 360rwhp on Mercury Motorsport dyno - and runs 11.1@121mph the next day 338rwhp on Matt Sprys dyno - and runs 11.1@121mph a week later. Anyhow.. if u change ur mind Grant.. the MT's are waiting.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Never have i said these car would run Quick time's, ive informed you about the power figure's Yeah and wat I was trying to say... which i think has gone right over your head.. is that.. because we are yet to see a car that comes off ur dyno with 300-400-500rwhp run a mph at the track, it is not as easy to compare it to a power figure/mph that a car would run from another dyno/track night. Which brings me back to my point about the fact that u say Grants car has made a considerable amount more power on what I assume from the fact that u've posted in this thread is, none other than EFI PERFORMANCE's dyno... If Grant goes to the track and races his car after Christmas, and does five passes and they're all around 120-121-122mph, then it would be indicative that the car is not making anymore power than it did before, but more likely the dyno that you guys use, gives a reading of (however much hp) more than the last dyno grant got his car tuned on. Refer to my example about my own car: Matt sprys dyno 338rwhp - 20psi - 121mph Mercury dyno - 360 rwhp - 20psi - 121mph Simple variation in the tuning tool... I roll off at Pits and get on at Mercury, and you would assume that im making an extra 22rwhp, without doing anything.. yay more power.. tell everyone - go to the tack and run exactly the same as i always used to.. where did the power help me ? It didnt.. becuse it was never there.. it was a variation in a tuning tool... This is all im saying. With any luck Grant has made a genuine 40rwhp more than he used to, and the car will go 125+mph, but without going to the track, he will never know. Which is why im sure he is still itching to give it a little crack before he finally packs it in. On slicks hahah :P could probably drop them over tonight too Grant HAHA !!
