No.
cant you get a normal VL starter to work on the 10" flywheel with some washers or somthing? read that along time ago.

19-11-08, 17:55 GMT+10#13 have had 2 reco'd, cost 75 and 80 bucks. one is in my car now going strong.
also, the na manual flywheel 9 1/2" will also work in a mx7 gearbox including the mx7 starter motor. the ring gear is exactly the same between the both flywheels.

Woah, thats cheap boys, get it while you can. Ive got a couple here, I wouldnt let one go for less than $250, the auto's and the MF5 ones are the same, the MX7 ones are deffinetly different, I dont think it would even bolt up as the MX7 ones are flat on the front, and the non turbo ones have a little hood over them, its the difference in the boxes and not the ring gear thats the problem.

20-11-08, 06:47 GMT+10#18 the parts to reco them arent. the second hand mx7 starters are the rare part. if anyone has a spare one. they don't want to let it go. can someone give me some of the bosch numbers. i'm going to do a bit of investigating.

yeh, jim berry just built my clutch and he used 9.5" flywheel just re drilled it. only differance between the na and turbo flywheel is a lil extra bit behind teeth, like a outer lip witch gives it the extra 1/2" i guess.
