difference bewtween front and rear springs!?

i know its a stupid question but i really dont know the diff between front and rear springs! as ive just bought 2 sets of 'rear springs', as i got them cheap. and i was thinking id put a set in the front.. but i wanted to find out the difference first.. are the front springs just longer or something? sorry about being a noob =] im only 16 lol.. thanks in advance fellas!

front and rears are totally different, will never work they are called ' rear' springs for a reason.

front springs are a total different spring the actuall spring it self is alot wider and shorter compared to the rears that are quite skiny and long if that makes sence lol

the fronts are designed for macpherson struts and the rears are designed for live axle, which are different set ups and also i'd be guessing the front springs are a bit stiffer for the weight of the car, but i could be could be wrong. can say 100% though that it wouldn't work. good luck mate.

ahhh, thankyou to all the guys who arent idiots about it! im pretty sure there was a stage in everyones young years where this question was not known! you will only ever get the answer if you ask, so i dont need to be criticised lol. yeah i knew it wouldnt work i just didnt know the exact differences, i thought the fronts were different heights but thats all i really knew lol. thanks guys!
