Hi all,
Im looking at buying a Vl turbo and the bloke is totally oblivious weather or not it has a 28 spline LSD. Just wondering if all vl turbos (its an 87) came stock with a 28 spline LSD? Also is there any way of checking without taking the cover off?

Yeah bro all turbos and v8s came with 28spline. But only the turbos and brockys had lsds.

LSD was only an option. A majority of turbos were single spinners. Check the diff tag and it will say 3.45 LSD if its not a single spinner. Or just jack it up and spin the wheels and if they both spin the same way its LSD

Or in the build sheet look for code no G80, it designates factory 4 pinion LSD!

check the diff tag, heaps of vl turbo's get there good 28 splines taken out and sold and ****ty 25 splines put in them.

Vl turbos if genuine have a 28 spline rear and the lsd is only an option mine was a 28 spline single spinner. There is a good thread on this which gives you all the diff tag numbers check it out.

mines an original 87 calais turbo, but had a single pegger in it.
now has an lsd
