Hi Guys Just got some new pics up of the progress of my Berlina. Note: I took the little Chrome bit out from the middle of the Letterbox grill the other day but the pics still have it in there.... looks a hell of a lot better without it!! dont know what the previous owner was thinking !! Anywho here are more pics... I painted my rocker cover DayGlo Orange too... I love it! let me know what you think Also, I got 2 Rockford Fosgate 12" P1 subs and a Rockford Fosgate Digital Amp. And a Kenwood Motorized 7" Touch Screen DVD Player(Which I plug my Xbox 360 into!!(Power inverter goes under the passenger seat.) Please tell me your thoughts! I was thinking of getting the proper Calais Front next with flips and motor, and then the Calais Tail-Lights because I don't really like the Fibre-glass front I have now... but I was also wanting to get into Karting! so this might be put on hold while I buy a Kart and Trailer... Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks for the comments guys... Yeh the subs go pretty well... Just found out I may need to get a new tailshaft as it is rattling while I drive and something squeels when I change down gears most of the time! sounds terrible! And I wasn't too sure about the dayglo orange Rocker cover either but I was at Repco and was looking at the paints and there werent too many alternatives, and now I love it... I reckon it really looks good in the middle of all the gold. Keep the comments coming! Oh and the Turbo cant happen until I get off my P's Grrrrrr!!! Stupid Laws! Can't wait for it though... dont know much about Turbos but cant wait to have more power and the sound is addictive!

two very nice cars there and i'm glad you got rid of the chrome strip. looks pretty damn clean mate. so when are you off your P plates? and are you planning on buying a turbo engine? because you've got a series 1 which dosen't have the provisions for turbocharging (not that you can't its just more trouble). good luck with the car.

Hi Guys Just putting some more pics, this time without the weird chrome strip in the grill... Dimples - love the Liberty RS mate... I had a maroon GX before this VL, the thing was so nice to drive! VL30ET - mate I will be putting a turbo engine in it as soon as I get off my P's at the end of next year CANT WAIT!! DOHC4LIFE - as it is not actually a Calais I will just put a turbo engine in it, I wouldnt put a turbo on this engine... too much of a hassle! thanks for the comments guys. Especially my wingman RI55KE, missed my car so much on the cruise to palm beach on Sunday!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Not sure what else I want to do with her now... I just got all new suspension over $2k worth from pedders so she is smooth as and kind of thinking about selling as I would love a turbo but dont think I will get a lot for this.

Tough VL mate, wanna ship the fiberglass front to me?? lol. The squeaking on down-shift would be your spigot bearing running a bit dry, not much you can do really, gotta pull the box out to get to it and replace it. If you ever do, its $6-$8 from Repco, and soak it in some old engine oil for as long as you can, keeps them silent for longer Edit: Should have said Spigot Bushing ** Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hi guys Danielh - It turned out that replacing the Tailshaft fixed the squealing sound... I was pretty pleased... having never seen a tailshaft before and having no idea about them, I just unbolted it and pulled it out and then put the new one in and bolted it at the diff... so EASY! couldn't believe how easy it was!!! And yeh I am thinking about my options when it comes to the turbo setup... just trying to get an idea of how much power I want... I think 200-250rwkw will do me, I'm not going to take her to the drags I just want a nice turbo cruiser. Cheers for the comments guys, keep them coming...!
