Just got back from the drags there was a few vl turbo's out.
MILF went 10.4 @ 132 "doing it easy".
Had too leave early but heard on of the boys saying they were going too throw more boost up it.Just wondering if anyone knows how it went as this thing sounds animal coming on and its a pretty quiet night out there so i'd say he would have got a few more runs in?
Hasn't it gone quicker in the past as a manual with a smaller setup but it's auto now 26 head etc? I didn't stay all night did anyone see it go faster?
Current setup
Still one of the sexiest VLs around. Shame he's not on here.
Mark has rebuilt the car with 9s in mind and, looking over the specs, he's certainly got all the right parts to achieve that. Seeing as it's only been recently rebuilt and tuned something makes me think that maybe Mark wasn't out on full power?
132mph is nothing to sneeze at, theres a 9.9 in that right there!
I would hope it's only pump fuel, a setup like that should be making at least 550rwhp on pump I'd reccon.

and a plenum! Surely if he can afford a 26/30 and 42r he can afford a plenum.
I reckon it's shit hot. Immaculate, mad setup and a totally different look to most other well-built VL Turbos you see around. Sure the plenum is a bit meh but I see things I dislike far more on 99.9% of other VLs than that!
I'd like to think that if the rear end is micky mouse and the car is running a 2 speed we'd see a flat 9 out of that thing on 30+ pound? Who built it/tunes it?
Considering it's mini tubbed and the size of the setup I'd hazard a guess that he's looking for 8s not 9s? You don't need a turbo that large, a twin cam head, a glide, mini tubs or a 9 inch for a 9 second pass... let alone all 5!
The old setup:
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
I like the car but the bay looks a bit funny to me with everything orange.
I reckon alloy strut tops and maybe a few highlights of chrome/ polished alloy or black on certain other parts would set it off.
But at the end of the day, it's still a street car so who cares what the engine bay looks like when the bonnet's shut.

There are a million better looking (and probably functional) plenums that he could have run with, but his mate is an alloy fabricator, and quite a talented one at that, hence the alloy plenum.
Not sure who built the motor, I'd hazard a guess and say the same guys that built his old one, but I know it's tuned by CHE
