Awesome day at calder today,
Sammy in FLYT87 first time racing in full street trim, interior, pump fuel, and semi slicks on 15 inch calais wheels cracked a 10.9 on only a 10psi launch.
big congrats cant wait till the full slicks are on and a big boost launch gets that front wheel up!
also like to say congrats to a few other great cars out today, anth in his stocky maroon calais turbo ran 13.4 with a ***ed auto and a t3 and single spin diff.
CANT w8 till the next LOSD!

great to be back at Calder, the track does look promosing.. the gtech ford went 10.0 not sure on mph (still in km's on baord), petmod split open his plenum, simple fix and the yellowish ford was out bout didnt get a clean run.. ohh and also idarya couldnt seem to get up on boost on the line..

was a good day out at calder good to see lots of cars racing and lots of fans out congratz to flyt87 was a strong run still got alot more in it cant wait to see it out again

nah. couldnt make boost on the line. dunno why though.
i stayed till the end the fluro green xr6 turbo reset his record again with a 9.64 at 212kph but from half track smoke started coming out the back pretty badly and it was coughing its guts out and the smoke was getting worse and worse and then a backfire and that was it just as it went over the line.
it didnt sound or look to good from what i saw and had to be towed back but it now looks to have tubs and a live axle rear end but yeah top effort none the less. the purple xr6 followed and that ran 9.88 at 227kph and looks to have tubs and live axle rear end aswell.
a few other i saw was flyt87 a silver vl from rajab running 10s the pink vk ndskyz rotorheads little beat of a wagon jpc had some skyline racecar there running 10s the quickest on the day was some silver rx4 v8 with 8.17 at 278kph that i saw.
Top work Sam all you wanted was a 10.9 and you got that first pass. idarya had transbreak issues all day bad luck huss next time. Awesome effort from Gtech/PET top stuff Carmen

they looked like mini tubs to me. the dish on the rims for slicks was huge. the tyres under look fat as. hence shortened 9" to run bigger tyre. well thats how i seen it. but hey i could be wrong. good on them either way, they are going fast. silver vl from rajabs (CRBWPN) was seen him run a 10.8 think it was. looked like wasnt leaving the line hard enough. ndskyz ran a 11.2 something along those lines. heard hpf are tuning it now. not really sure.
