Hi, Has anyone fitted a RB25det automatic box into a VL on a RB30et? Does this work ok with stock vl auto trans ecu and does the vl auto tailshaft fit? Cheers

yes have done,it, need to fit mv's computer, change one mount, tailshaft bolts up, and give the tunnel a big smash, need to fit the skyline converter and flexplate aswell cheers darren

is it any better then a vl or vlturbo box?

rated to 300rwkw with the mv shift kit and decent trans cooler wasn't it darren? Total cost will be about 1000-1300 depending on what u get the box and stuff for, should be about 300 for box, converter and flex plate. 350 for the shift kit and 300 for the mv shift control module. They are ruff pricersofoff top of my head. I was going to put on in my blue car but decided to stay manual for now.

im thinking of doing this conversion i got the box and the splines for the tail shaft, (box came from a half cut rb25det) has all wiring exept for speedo cable, will the rb30 speedo cable connect? and want to know how much modifying does it take to get it to mount (if any1 has pics, plz pm them to me) can i use the rb30 touque converter? will rb30 starter motor fit through the rb25 box? does the rb25 auto ecu plug straight in, or if not, how hard is it to wire up

as these boxes are fully electronic does that mean you can simply mod the wiring to make it full manual or do you still have to change the valve body? Thanks Jason
