That's how my intake into my airbox is, except mine is a bit smaller and a 90 degree bend instead of 45, taking it to right behind the grill in the bumper. Yeah I have been worried about water getting into it a couple of times. I hit some pretty damn deep water in my 2L once, my engine bay was soaked.

There was an article exactly the same as this in zoom years and years ago. The only thing i haven't managed to find and change was the afm to turbo pipe.

Well some idiot decided a big main road was a nice place for a small ocean, hitting it slowed me from about 60ks down to 20 instantly, felt like it stopped me, I think it must've been up past the bottom of the bumpers, just had to 'power' (lol) through. Nearly too deep for the poor thing to handle. You're right, maybe I should've bought a VN, it would've LOVED it.

K&N panel filter should keep most water. No chance if your driving through a river though!
