Hey guys, im just wondering what will happens if i was driving a vlc turbo and cops pulled me over, check out the car an found out that it was turbo. Me on my red P's. What will happen to me or my car ?? Do i loose points/license, car confiscated or worse ?
Penalties
From 1 July 2007, the penalty for driving a high powered vehicle will be three demerit points and a maximum fine of approximately $1100. These penalties will apply to both the current power to weight restrictions and the new high powered vehicles restrictions.

Sounds like it will depend alot on the police officer that you get in regards to how much you will be finned.
You'd assume the maximum fine of $1100 would be for thrashing around in a Drag car.
I personally do not think its worth the risk, your in a vl - your getting pulled over and the bonnet is going up no matter how you drive or how it appears. lol

P Plater + Modified car = Yes
Don't bother risking it, unless you can afford to lose your license and the big fine attached. But hey what do we know? We have only been there with P plates before.
Edit that: P Plater + VL of any sort = Yes

Better off driving an NA until you can legally drive a turbo. Chances are your young and you probably can't afford the hassles that come with owning a turbo car anyway

my friend got pulled over in a 180 on red p's this is you first and only warning sell this car immediatly, if we catch you driving this again big fine for and will take and will be sold off

then be careful it doesnt go into a tree/pole/pedestrians/etc when u first drive it

im not sure if its the same over their but if you had ur P's or were in the process of geting them the new laws IE driving a v8 or turbo on ur p's didnt apply to you
