Hey whats going on I have a vk with a rb30et and a turbo 350 box with adaptor plates and standard t350 stall convertor. I dont know to much about autos but As most of you know a turbo 350 was ment to be behind V8's 5.0l-5.7L + I have this strong box behind my rb30et which makes a fair bit more tourqe at a higher rpm than a v8 but i need the stall speed to be around 3000rpm now im upgrading to a bigger turbo i need to somehow work out what t350 v8 convertor would help me get there im assuming a 3000rpm tourqe convertor ment for a v8 would be around 3500rpm with a rb30? or is that wrong Thanks heaps

I would sugest going to someone whom builds convertors and getting them to build one, that way they can work out torque and stall speeds for you.

As a standard t350 convertor fits with my convertor adaptor plate that im using, just wated to know what stall speed a 2500rpm convertor ment for a 5.0-5.7 would be when joined to a Turbo 3.0l

there shouldnt be a difference, rb30 or v8 3000rpm is still 3000rpm

You will find the converter should come in a little higher. They work on torque and in most cases a 5l or 5.7l will make peak torque lower than an RB30 depending on mods. If you dont want to build another one then trial and error will be your friend. But I would expect it to maybe come in a little later say 3200 ish. Depending how big of a setup you are running 3-3500 wont be far off the mark anyway unless your running a std turbo or a baby highflow! Best bet would be though is call Dominator and TCE and ask some questions!

Mums taxi(Steve) is correct in what he is saying, A turbo car will create more torque as the boost comes on so the stall speed(flash) will increase as well, you could throw what you have in and trial and error will come into play but I would be asking a professional for the correct item straight up, there is to many possibles to get it right first up
