Seen this on ebay and was wondering is there any real advantage of having a twin pod setup like this or is it all just abit of a wank Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Ive seen this setup on a few vlt's. I guess its only gunna suck as much as the pipe going into the front of the turbo so the second pipe wouldnt do ****, just cost you more money when your buying a second pod lol

open your eyes the pods are 3'' and the inlet on the turbo is 4'' so the extra does help with the air intake . its not just a wank factor

as above^ if you look closely it tapers down to 3 inch for the main pod. if he only used this pod it would only flow the diameter of the smallest section, being the 3 inch inlet. having the second filter would over come this issue. plus im sure two of the super cheap filters are a lot cheaper then a 4 inch k&n filter. my 2cents...

That comes down to stupid design. If you compared it to a normal 4 inch pipe then theres no advantage in a stupid second pipe coming off it. Its not like the pipe isnt giving the turbo enough air. I wouldnt waste my money with them, no advantage and look ridiculous, and no it wont make a double dose.

lol at double dose hahaha! I totally agree, a nice 4 inch filter is definately the go and looks a lot neater.

^^ Agreed! my guess is, with 1 pod it can only suck in just as much as it can.. With 2! thats double the air intake.. just imagine it as sex... 2 girls are better than 1 im guessing the flutter would say totally different.. anyone got vids of a twin pod fluttering? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

would be interesting to see some testing done on exactly what differences there is between single vs twin.

if anything, if one were to become blocked than the other would still let anough air flow. Either way, im sure 2 filters will always be less restrictive than 1...even tho they are both on the 1 pipe in the end the filter is the most restrictive thing
