You can work anywhere as a mechanic, the paper is full of jobs every week.

haha you'll be in my hood, i live in an estate on farrington road/murdoch drive, we'll be neighbours. as for transport, go with someone big and reputable like TNT, with insurance, you'd be devo if something happened to it on the way over

plenty of jobs as a mechanic over here mate, one of the mechanics who left to be a service advisor was on 27 an hour in a brand new, clean workshop.

The irony is Perth was the best before every man and his dog wanted to come here.

hey mate, i bought my car in melb and got it transported here thru CEVA Logistics, cost me $900 ish thru a mate, but would be about $1200 unless u knew sum1, but they did a good job, only thing as with most companies is they have tools that offload the cars, so probly just be there when they do it. other than that all good!

dont drive it, probably do just as much damage, TNT have a car trailer service, you can pay extra for fully enclosed too

thanks 4 all the input so far guys. nah there's no way i would drive it. it was just a thought. my mind would be much more at ease if the car was fully enclosed but its a fair bit more expensive. but yeah generally id just like to get an idea of what people think of the city and surrounding areas. ill be making my own mind up soon tho. oldgold- truth is moving to perth wasnt exactly a plan i had made. id much rather stay in melb, but situations change. but i do get what ur saying.
