hi, i am currently using a microtech ltx12s and igniter unit to run a 6-1 coilpack..i have tried everything to get my timing movement to as little as possible i currently have it down to around 4 degrees fluxuation. i am looking at the option of using a cam/crank triggger to eliminate this problem..whos is using either and has specs/pics and recomendations on what works and what doesnt.. help cheers dan

There was a guy on here experimenting with using a coil pack driver feeding directly off the cam pulley (mounted on the upper timing cover)...there is a thread about it somewhere. Here we are: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showth...il+pack+driver (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=136031&highlight=coil+pack+driver) Guy was apparently running an Autronic unit. Interesting stuff!

Yep I have the same problem at the moment with timing fluctuating running a microtech lt10 and standard dizzy and coil. Give Competition Tuning and Performance a call on 3823 3122, you can use the dizzy or piss it off and run 6 coils. Doesn't matter but Justin their modifies your harmonic balancer and runs a 36/1 geared tooth sensor setup, will also need to send your microtech back for reconfigure. Not much change out of $800 for the setup and install.

the main cause of sync errors/timing fluctations on aftermarket ecus are caused by the routing of wiring... try routing ur crank angle sensor wiring away from the alternator, coil or ignition leads... either that or shield the wiring... another good tip is to twist the wiring together which suppresses emf to the twisted wires try these first before u go to the expense of external triggers
