Karam are in need of a new bonnet huge back fire

KIL-351 did the greatest launch i've ever seen. It ran a 12 on that pass as he crossed the centre line on the back wheels. The run befoore im not sure what he ran because we were all watching the other VL that had the NOS backfire which blew the plenum up and popped the bonnet outta skin clean off. But it was a low 9 im fairly sure. Boostn didnt run today. Couldnt get off the trans brake by the looks of it, boost issues. And johnny ran 10.2 at 130 something.

Yep KIL 351, best VL launch ive ever seen. And the Karam cars plenum pealed back like one of those ring pull baked beans cans, felt bad for the guy, i think it was his first run too.

did anybody get pics or vids.

When I left, the Karam boys were trying to get the plenum back into shape and we-weld it. Not sure how they went but. It was an almighty bang when it went but. Everything else is perfectly fine, there was only damage to plenum and bonnet. Heres a shitty phone pic, but u get an idea. PWR 747 was looking mint as usual too today! Woulda loved to of seen it run! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

god dammnn is that a steel bonnet or fibreglass it looks mangled and a big nitrous backfire will do that to ya everytime. hope the guys fix it and its alls back and running tomorrow. how did all the rest of the vls go.

VL GOD went 8.77@153 on its first pass KIL351 went 9.7@150 on its first pass (pretty sure it was a 9 anyway, might have been an 8 but i cant remember) either way.. both very very nice cars.. and KIL351 second launch was unreal.. someone will no doubt throw up a few pics later on..

weather is killer i got heaps of pics i can up load when i get back. that planum split was huge most the way around. kil351's pass went way out in to the middle of track. massive launch- got on video camera also. cheers corran

damn the slicks are fat on kil351 what size are they and the new karam car looks hot pitty about what happened and hopefully they have some luck tomorrow.

Lucky he had Bonnet pins in. Bonnet could have ended up in the windshield!
