Should be easy to do,
Get the relay to make the click sound you described.
(I think relay is under the dash above the pedals near the wiring loom on a VL)
Follow the click sound to find the relay, put your hand on it (the relay, LOL ) to confirm you have the correct one, then unplug the relay and the clicking will stop ,if it does not, you have the wrong one.
Plug new relay in.
You can get a new relay from Holden ,under $20 (part NO 9207 6941) this is not the number on your relay so they wont be the same, this is the new supersceded number and is same as a VT Commodore flasher so you can just get one from the wreckers if you want.
Let us know how you go

Some times (but not always) they will click once when you first turn the indicater on,if so you just repeat until you track it down.
If not,you need to find the relay (as you have done) then you can do a easy test before you buy a relay by "borrowing" a flasher from a VL or VT-VZ Commodore.
From memory in a VT-VZ, pull down panel under steering column, looking at fuse box its top left black relay (but check number on relay to be sure before pluging it in)
so try before you buy
