hi ppl driving my car around today and i think my pressure plate has let go, my pedal has become very easy to push in and its not dis-ingauging the clutch properly which is making it crunch gears, not good, so its parked up in my garage for now, Ive rung around few places for a clutch kit, which includes -clutch-pressure plate- and thrust bearing (will throw in a spicket bearing too) now to supply and fit a standard clutch kit was quoted 720- supply and fit... heavy duty clutch kit 900- supply and fit.... does this sound right to you???? i have know idea... Cars is gonna be towed (so i dont do any damage) and its being fitted on friday so your help/advice asap is much appreciated. Kevin

have you checked the fluid? Similar thing happened with my skyline, but it turned out to be a leaky slave cylinder

Otherwise $700 is about right for a clutch change.

all t-5's in commodores run cable clutches, sounds to me like the cable could be broken or sticking, just check that the cable is still attached to the clutch pedal and the gearbox its on the drivers side at the front of the gearbox. if you werent in wa id be happy to do it for alot less.

hi ppl yes its cable not hydraulic, ok i have checked my clutch cable, was the first thing i did, i tried adjusting it at the bell housing to give it less slack, no go,cable is brand new, i can still drive it but when i put my foot down just a little bit it slips bad, but anyway i have it booked in tomorrow to get a heavy duty clutch kit for 870 supply and fit, so thats not too bad i think as of some of the rediculas prices ive been quoted but thanks for the replies Kevin Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
