Has anyone had trouble with getting the search to work today?? This morning I went to take the old girl for a sunday cruise but for some reason my car alarm/immobiliser is playing up. When I hit the keyless button it makes a crazy noise or a soft beep beep and sometimes just the indicators flash not its usual loud "beep beep" with indicators flash. Then I attempted to start it but it wouldn't let the ignition turn on, went to start and the alarm went off (usaully it would beep for 15 sec before the Alarm went off) I hit the button again and it stoped, tried to turn the ignition on again but nothing. Then to start and it made some crazy noise's from the alarm speaker. The alarm is a M80 Mongoose and havn't had any problems with it right up to today (was working fine yesterday when I moved it), other then sometimes when I'd press the button it would flash the indicators but wouldn't beep occasionally.

Update: Now it just has a distorted short beep that will go on for half a minute or so with the indicators flashing lightly. Sometimes it will do this by itself without pressing the button. Im going over the manual and it has nothing about it doing this lol Quote: Originally Posted by freEze_dK does it sound like its drowing in water the sound? No it doesn't its like a brrrrrbeep brrrrrrbeep, very quick short bursts of beeps. Im not to sure how else to explain it. When the alarm does go off, its the same as its always been. Just found the main unit right up under the dash in a mass of black wire. I got a head ack just looking at it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

how charged is the battery?

Yeh I looked at that first and its fully charged. Got the hole dash apart. I was told it had been Professionally installed, my arse A 8yr old could do better. Im slowly testing everything and fixing it all up, hopefully its just the Wiring. UPDATE: Well I have tested the hole wiring loom and its all fine, Also fixed a few dodgy connections (A earth being one of them). Gotta stop n go pick up the Girlfriend from work Only thing left to test is the horn unit under the hood. Its looking like its the main m80 module . I opened it up to see if i could see something obviously burnt out but its perfect. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
