CRUISE TONIGHT IS POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Hi Everyone, I was speaking with a few friends and was thinking of organising a cruise and also letting people on the forum know about it, if they would like to join. There are some very nice and quick VL's out there these days that still get driven on the street and I miss the good old days of cruising with a plethora of cars, e.g. (back in 2003) http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=6581. Some cars on this cruise probably don't even exist anymore. We're proposing for a mid to late August drive, most probably a Friday night. We may even consider a Sunday day if it means we enjoy the sunshine with some views and to take better snapshots. We will not discriminate the cars to just VLs. If your friend has a rotor, he can bring it along. The old Cobb & Co (now Deno's Diner, Tempe) hosts our regular launch pad, however we may move it to Krispy Kreme Domestic Airport to be away from the main road if this gets popular. Destinations 1st choice for Friday night - Liverpool Krispy Kreme (Donuts and Harry's Cafe de Wheels) Other choices suitable for Sunday day - Blue Mountains Scenic World (great views of valley and big parking lot) - Kiama Blowhole (great attraction and fish & chips) Will confirm exact details closer to date. Anyone interested? Here are the details Date: Friday September 5th Time: 8.30pm (leave about 9.30pm) Meeting Point: Deno's Diner, Tempe (Cnr Princes Hwy & Station St) (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=corner+station+street+and+princes+highway+tempe&sll=-33.926211,151.159413&sspn=0.002938,0.004807&layer=c&ie=UTF8&ll=-33.925279,151.159593&spn=0.001469,0.002403&t=h&z=19&cbll=-33.925722,151.159592&panoid=KybF8Sza6ms8JLSCmqdvMA&cbp=1,171.08343451170947,,0,15.399189156594101) Destination: Harry's Cafe de Wheels, Liverpool (Cumberland Hwy) (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=cumberland+highway+liverpool&sll=-33.925279,151.159593&sspn=0.001469,0.002403&layer=c&ie=UTF8&t=h&cbll=-33.907778,150.919628&panoid=WintgfAVQGRLAbdC_t76Hg&ll=-33.907757,150.919637&spn=0.001469,0.002403&z=19&cbp=1,146.5950213365037,,0,6.174102001550947) Cars Allowed: Free for all... Additional Info: There's plenty of food at both locations, and it is an easy trip on the M5. For anyone who doesn't know the route, we will get on from Arncliffe and follow through to Hume Hwy. We then follow the Hume all the way past Elizabeth Dr and then onto Cumberland Hwy... This is a popular hangout for nice cars and there's a Harry's, McDonalds, Oportos and Krispy Kreme all in the vicinity. See first post for cars/people likely to come. If you have any questions, please post them in this thread and I'll attempt to answer when I get a chance. 1. JET-086, VL Calais 2. GMH-30L 3. MAK-03L 4. White VLT (plus friends) 5. I'm in Johnny.... I'd prefer a Sunday Day cruise mate.. ps; Louie is only allowed to attend if he makes you a dose pipe.. lol, and btw I think any Rotor excluding WOG-13B is allowed to attend.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Johnny, I think it's time to set a time, date and destination... Seeing that Jamboree falls on the 23rd and 24th, I think Sunday the 31st looks good for everyone, a nice day time cruise where we can all take photos. Kiama Blowhole has the most votes, so it looks like that'll be the destination... Meet up at Tempe Reserve carpark 9am, depart at 11am? Any opinions or comments, please feel free to post!
