I'd like to know too, calais is finally roadworthy, though i'm still sus with the steering, hopefully have a full exhaust replacement in the next month or two. Doesn't come outt oo often as I need to keep the k's going on the lease car, would be nice to fill her up and take her on a day trip.

Yeah i have spoken with Daniel (Boostedcal) a bit about it.
I wasn't really keen to organize another one at Calais Estate this year after what happened last year. They had warned me from what had happened the previous year that there was to be no repeat of that type of activity, and i made the point of telling everyone that came, several times, not to take part in those activities, however when we left.....
Judging by the phone calls i got from Calais Estate i am quite sure we are not welcome back.
Daniel still wants to do something though, I'll have a chat with him about it, It may be a cruise to a different destination in the vineyards, or maybe a totally different destination, not sure, but he does want to organize something.
Will give him a call later and see what he's thinking.

At least you have a good idea who the trouble makers were last year, so they can be told to fcuk off. Shame Calais Estate won't allow it again, but you can't really blame them after two years having the day spoilt by a small minoroty. Looked like a good place to go from the pics.

should of been done away from the estate to cover everyone , there is plenty of open road around the estate

28-07-08, 13:20 GMT+10#11 "Skids" are not a tradition. A minority of wankers who think they are sick cunts turning up seems to be the tradition. The owners of calais estate let us onto their property out of goodwill and people did skids right out the front. No common sense or respect.
Scott and Daniel put a lot of time and effort into organising these cruises, if they do somehow welcome us back, which I doubt, it should be invite only.

You seem to be misinformed. The first time anything ever happened was in 2006 in the wet. A few cars did small skids on a wet road leaving. 2007 i told all all on the cruise not to do it again as i had been warned by Calais Estate, and it happened again, in the dry, big burnouts that went on for several minutes, smoke wafting over all their guests trying to have lunch on the balcony. All it shows Calais Estate and all their guests is our clubs lack of respect for their property and business, which is not the image we want or need as a club.
The Calais Estate Cruise has been an annual thing for this club since 2003. Hardly sounds like a Tradition to me.

29-07-08, 20:26 GMT+10#19 Steve, they made it quite clear we were not welcome back. They were pretty upset when they rang me.
Anyway, Daniel and I might go out there and have a chat with them, but don't get your hopes up. I'd say we will be looking at a different destination this year.
