does anyone have an idea of what is involved for stripping a full lpg setup from a vl would be. the car is unfortunately not in use anymore, the system is about 12 months old and i think its a 60L tank. is it worth stripping and selling it. i wouldn't mind trying to make something out of the wrecked car that's all. thanks.

You might make abit of money but not much. Second hand gas ****s not worth that much from a daily setup. Before taking out anything make sure you turnoff ur shut off valve from the tank. Still will be a little bit of gas in the system/lines. Thats the most important thing. After that you can have fun ripping out everything else.

Ive ripped out a gas system from a vl a long time ago, from memory this is what I did. Turned off the gas at the tank Removed Gas line from the tank Removed the tank from the cradle Removed the cradle Removed the lpg filler neck In the engine bay Removed the vaporisor and mixer Removed the fuel switch and main control unit thing Removed the main line running from the tank to the bay Normally lpg conversions have a unit inside the car too, remove this. If the car is still to be used for petrol then you would also have to re-route the coolant lines back to the original position. Obviously when working with gas there is precautionary measures that must be taken, as well as a little commmon sense, perform the above at your own risk. Mick
