A holden V8 should be a cheap swap. Just remember the other things you need to cope with whatever engine you put in. (brakes, suspension, gearbox and diff) Contact some local engineers to find out what's involved

You could drop $3-4k on a 202 and it would only match the performance of a 308 with the usual exhaust, cam, extractors, carb etc. Save up and buy a 308. Youll need to change the K frame, brakes and suspension but its a fairly easy conversion. For the price you could probably sell your one and pick up a VK V8 pretty cheap. I put a VK 308 motor into my HQ with a 4 speed manual and its only marginally slower than my mates torana (minus 400kgs) with a $6000 186 stroker. Youll only waste your money on a 6 cylinder once!

lol go 186 202 or 304 injected 308 or build a stroker motor which is a 308 or 253 with a different crank look on ebay

Need to change the frame.... Only engine that will bolt straight into a car designed for 202s is a 202.

This engine is a good choice for your VK. It will "pretty much" drop straight in, and will make very good power. You can also use your existing gearbox and diff, which is a bonus
