Just need to verify, doing a manual conversion on a mates VR V6. Are they able to run the auto computer? or do they deffinatly need a manual one. i was told that they might be able to use the auto as all it does is detect that neutral has been bridged an doesnt use the auto ****? true or false? cheers in advance

should have no problems running a auto computer engine light may stay on because vr and up run a electronic auto i recentley fitted a vn auto into a vr which is a non electronic auto works fine but engine light stays on and you end up with spare wires...

Ummmm how much faster? I would assume if it was true, this would be common knowledge. I have done 3 5spd conversions or VR and VS cars, I have always been told to use the manual comp. There's a reason why there's a auto and a manual comp.

AFAIK they all use the Delco ECU which is flashed with auto/manual V6/V8 programming, so you shouldn't need to change it.
