Hey guys ive recently converted my 5 spd vl to turbo.
Its high comp with no intercooler, on 98 octance and 5 degrees timing with a 3inch exhaust.
I put a boost gauge on it and noticed it hits 7psi and holds for a while but after about 4500rpm it creeps to about 9.
What could be causing this?
Heres a video of it boosting in 2nd, you can see at the end the boost goes up.

On a side note, would a 5 speed vl turbo with an exhaust and open diff normally just spin the wheels when you hit boost in 1st?
Mine does it, single spinner diff and warm 215's, this normal lol?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

wastegate diaphram is leaking, mine started to do this when it was stock turbo conversion, would spool to 7spi and once u got upto around 4000rpm it would start to go up to 9psi, changed actuator and fixed it

You have an open wheel diff...if it didnt spin the wheel you should consider setting fire to it...
