Hey all, Today I stumbled across the following in the paper - thought I would share with you all as it is all about word of mouth! Quote: Originally Posted by www.thecheappetrolproject.co.nz How we’re going to get you cheap petrol We are basically organising everyone into one big buyer group. This is because as a group we have a much stronger buying power than as individuals and so are in a much better position to negotiate a cheaper rate on our petrol. Once we reach our goal of 10’000 sign-ups our collective buying power will equal about 20.5 million litres of petrol a year. But more importantly we should hit 50’000 people by the end of the year, which means an annual petrol usage of over 100 million litres. Now that’s a force to be taken seriously. I usually don't go for these sorts of things but at the rate petrol is rising i thought, "what's the worst that can happen?" And after all it is COMPLETELY FREE!! Go on guys - go to the website and have a look - it was enough to convince me http://www.thecheappetrolproject.co.nz Later Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah I heard about this on the radio today.. the way I see it is we are already a large group of customers and they know we aren't happy with the prices. If I wasn't lazy it wouldn't do any harm though. And I heard you can win petrol vouchers just for signing up??

we are paying almost 50% tax on fuel (49.8%) so why is no one saying anything to the government about it? in fact the government is profiting from the high fuel prices! and to think some governments around the word actually subsidise fuel. think about it without the tax on it we would be paying $1.09 a litre!

Alright I did bother to sign up.. but the counter was at 10291, so I might not get anything.. Yeah they would just rape us somewhere else if the dropped some tax, but I still don't know how they think I'm getting twice as much travel out of each litre of petrol.. we should get taxed per litre not per dollar.
