gday fellas um i just brought another vl and this time it waz turbo..i got it dynod today at rpm and it waz makin just ova 300rwhp ..anyway i piked it up and i took my old man 4 a drive and the box has started to slip so i need someone to point me in the right direction asfar as a good street/drag box goes...how much?,were?...any help would be awsum thanks

top quality trans 9444 0181 ask for trev in ossy park or u can pick up a 2nd hand one of the 4sale section like i did, but all depends how much hp u r after an setup.

also invest in a decent transmission cooler

um, that wont get u too much. i dunno how much the 220kw keas boxes sell 4 but i think they r more than that and plus u will need a stall. turn the boost down to like 10psi, put a trans cooler on as freeze dk said, oil change and drive it. save up 4 a 350kw keas box or even the 450kw. atleast then u wont have to change the box again if u chase larger hp. but yeh

as fmx said, do it once and go all out, that way your not continously forking out more and more money.

from memory about 4k+ for everything your going to need. I got a 450 box and it was closer to 6 with stall, cooler, transbrake etc. As Mike said it'd be worth saving even for the 220kw kitted box if your not chasing too much more power. If you are chasing more power the trans is only gonna be one of several financial woes lol. As above, drop that oil, lower boost to avoid breaking your box completely and being forced to make a decision short term.
