Hey guys... I recently picked up an extremely well looked after VL commodore off a mate for $500 a few weeks back to use as a daily drive as my Rx7 chews far to much fuel. so far so good as far as saving fuel (well i presume) as my Odemeter and fuel guadge dont work I have read up on the fuel guadge and it seems to be same problem as anyone else so thats no concern. My main concerns are, My cruise control is working intermittently... I will be on the free way and everythings is fine and dandy then the cruise cuts out the green light goes off on the cruise box but the orange light to say its switched on turns on ... and i cant get it back on again..... does anyone have any suggestion as to what to do with this??? i really want the cruise working as i drive long freeway distances to see my Girlfriend.... The other thing is the Odemeter stoped about 5 years ago and my mate never got it running again, Would changing the dash possibly rectify all 3 of my problems... Being Cruise control odemeter and fuel gague??? I wish i would have found this forum before pulling the dash off the otherday, its a joke lol :P cheers in advance -dave Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

odometer has a number of plastic wheels which have numbers on them and the last wheel is a alloy lookin 1 reason y it stops is because that alloy wheel comes loose from the rod that spins them numbers so u got to dismantle is and using like 80 grit sand the part of the rod which it sits into that alloy gear . this will make it permanently fixed so it does not slip off the rod. once u dismantle it u will kinda workit out 4 ya self
