Can see why you like it ... but I doubt they would end up looking that good.... everyone would do it ??

Can't make strawberry jam out of pig shit... its still vinyl... just with a 'polish a turd' name of Leatherette...
I remember recently seeing photo's in the random pictures of our members section, the fit and the quality was really bad...
I'd recommend doing a couple of searches on the topic,
Daz
hmmm, iv always wanted to get mine done, at one stage i got a quote for a full interior re-upholster, but i didnt do it, something came up and POOF money gone!
how much has anyone else had theirs done for?
From experience they are made by chinese out of cheap quality materials.
Sure they are a hell of a lot cheaper than paying a white person to do it but in the same token you get what you pay for. There was a guy on one of the forums that had a set done and after 4 attempts at fitting them by 3 different trimmers, the cost would have still been close to what a trimmer would charge to do the job in the first place.
And they still looked pretty average!Your money, your choice!
Ebay Vinyl Trim:
Cutsom Vinyl Trim:
Ebay Vinyl covers cost between $800-$1000 + Fitting. Custom vinyl trim would probably cost you under $2500ish but why don't you get some quotes from Interior places? You can see why there is a difference in price.
Ebay trim is terrible.

No they don't, thats all 1 set and they look horrid because they are ill fitting and require modification to get them fitting half decently.
Dixie's has been done by a trimmer and look like it could have come from the Holden factory like that (All be it a Muzza Holden Factory).
At the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you think your getting a good deal with it then go ahead. The poor man pays twice....
yeah... the difference is fairly big.
might wait a few extra months and spend it on getting a good job once...
thanks for the opinions.
and thanks for the pics yeti

yeah lad for sure im goin to buy thaT same set haha i got a vt too get the black and white set it says u can put it on in a day by yourself if you cant do it just go to ur local upholstery if they only charge 200 at the place whree u buy it from ther mustnt be much involved and ur local should charge similar, its just cuttin the old ones off its like thers no goin back huh but *** ive been waitin to do it
they probs dont fit well because after 10 yrs of peoples fat asses sitting on the seats the foam is not a fluffy as a brand new seat. i bet his templets are exactly the same but due to seat wear it looks like it doesnt fit

There is more involved to it than what they tell you and for 200 bucks all they are going to do is slap them on over the top of the old trim. Hence they will look sh1t. If its the simple case of some chinese bloke on ebay telling you anyone can fit it then I wasted 4 years of my life learning a trade
Most trimmers I know (myself included) will completely strip the seats to bare frames, and start again when fitting a new set of covers and the charge will generally be a considerable amount more than 200 bucks. But in the same token your foams will get repaired, frames checked and repaired if necessary and anything broken ie lumbars and height adjusters checked, repaired or replaced. And believe me, if you paid the right person the right money to fit them and do what is necessary you will get them to look ok
