This is my girlfriends lancer that we're selling at the moment. It averages 500km per tank around town... and well over 600 on highway.. nearly 700. Nice and zippy with awesome economy... even if youre not interested in mine I would highly recommend the lancers! http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/MITSUBISHI/LANCER/details.aspx?Cr=8&State=Victoria&R=5981671&state_i d=82&PriceMin=2500&__N=4294964597+82+834+285+257+4 61+442+4294966896&silo=1003&distance=25&__Ns=pCar_ PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32| 1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&trecs=34&__Nne =20&seot=0&PriceMax=5000&__sid=11A5567040F3&Model= LANCER&Make=MITSUBISHI (http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/MITSUBISHI/LANCER/details.aspx?Cr=8&State=Victoria&R=5981671&state_id=82&PriceMin=2500&__N=4294964597+82+834+285+257+461+442+4294966896&silo=1003&distance=25&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&trecs=34&__Nne=20&seot=0&PriceMax=5000&__sid=11A5567040F3&Model=LANCER&Make=MITSUBISHI)

imo u cant go past a pulsar with 4 cylinders. best little cars getting around i rekn. and as for economy, my mums 1.6L n14 pulsar is really good on fuel, she rarely has to put more then $20 a week in fuel and does a decent amount of driving.

The missus has a 95 hyundai lantra, 268000 k's on it, uses bout 1lt oil every 2-3000k's. Still does 39-40mpg (7-7.2 l/100) Personally i wouldn't buy one (she bought it just before i met her bout 10 years ago) cose it's not my type of car but certainly cant complain about the economy.
