how far are u going on it? highfill? if so u will need a good gun with a 2.0 nozzle for the highfill and a 1.4 for 2pac! a decent size compressor(with an oil and water filter), with the prep u will need sandpaper (400 before highfill then 400 then 800 after highfill, u will also need a sanding block, good masking tape, prepsol, tack rag, stirers, strainers, measuring cups plus more(bog and fine filler) !!!! with the highfill and paint u will also need hardener and reducer(thinners) lol (heapsa work) i just finished my vl yesterday!!!! honestly its not worth doin it ur self(its not really the cash its all the work that goes into it) i spent over a week nonstop just to block back the highfill for paint!!! honestly dont do it! pay some1! u dont endup savin much money if u do it urself!

for real..sweet as mate thanks its just i'm most likely going to be waiting a while till i can get descent parts for me car and with wreckers im prob better of getting a whole new engine lol but if i post stuff up here hopefully blokes will sell us parts alot cheaper than wreckers thats why i was going to try doin the car myself plus the dude before my neighbour bought it did a real bad job with paint, he did like half a coat and left bumps but yeh i think i might save money up for this car, ive got time cauz rentz chipping in for me to get a cheap vl-vs till i get this car running which is a sweet deal thanks mate again for the info I might trying doing it myself when my mate gets some paint gear but with a smaller car lol cheers and good luck with your vl man Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

GOOD LUCK!!!! CHEERS LAURA

Nice work LAURA, right on the money......TOBY G if you are in dought and at the moment it is a little cold look at your local tool hire for a wildcat or jet hot heater...... i asume you are painting in a garage??? i wouldent paint under about 17deg, myself , but if you are doing your car in basecoat( clear over the top) better off having it warm, also if its metalic you wont want it cold or the matalic may bloom (turn a white colour ) or mottle get black streaks or ( train tracks ).... and with the clear you want it as flat as you can without runs, not as easy as it sounds but easyer with warmth....... my tip a good gun iwata sata jet ect..... and get an extra hardner with your clear a fast one ..... same brand..... for the garage fast only is to fast outside of the car and will dry to fast and peely.. and normal i thing is a bit slow....... chance or it running mix you hardners .... to make the total amount you need so if you need 300ml 150 fast and 150ml normal gives it enough time to flaten out a bit and less chance to run good luck guys girls lol Dave
