i just bought a VN Berlina and im currently looking to give it a bit more power and respose.
im thinking of adding a cold air intake and a holden 3800 chip to add power, I don't want to add too much as im a P-plater but id like to know any small modifications I can do at home (ie air filters etc).
any suggestions would be appriciated

theres a pakage from a place in werribee they say 149 rwkw 4 1200 thats cam chip lifters timing chain throttle bodyand something else??? on ebay check it put!
makes no power increase on a dyno. ive done it.
go extractors and a good exhaust.. and DIFF GEARS.. best bang for your buck.
make your own cai. super 6 intakes and hsv intake make fk all diference, dont go pod filter because youl get hot engine air drawn through the filter.
keep your standard airbox,buy a k&n panel filter,and go to bunnings get flexi pipe (3inch) holesaw the bottom of your airbox and inner guard under airbox,run pipe to the mouth in front bar,cable tie a bit of mesh over it. do an injector clean,clean your throttle body,use fuel additive and your off. you can get all mentioned stuff for under 1000bucks. hunt ebay for extractors (200) get single 2.5inch exhaust (300) k&n panel filter (99) diff gears from any diff joint second hand with new bearings (250) get injectors cleaned (15each) fuel additive (20) and run good fuel. next would be to get a shift kit mate, no need for a stall in a stoker,waist of fuel economy for no real increase in speed.
if your cars not in the high 14s low 15s by then theres seomthing wrong with you or the car :P
