Guys, well as the title states i mounted a curb tonight, stopping less than a inch away from a brick wall in statesman. The car feels fine, the alignment is straight, wheels are straight and it feels the same, and i can't see any visible damage underneath the car, but it is dark outside. So could there be any damage, anything i should look or feel for in particular in the morning ? Thanks.

Jack car up, get under there and look properly. Check the straightness of your chassis rails, K frame, steering rack, control arms, radius rods, shocks, check for cracks around your strut towers (welds), check the height of the car at all four corners. Check everything and anything.

thanks for the advice, im not sure if it makes a difference or not but when i mounted i was going pretty much straight and it wasn't big speed (not exactly sure but would say maybe the 10-15km), i mounted it after making a sharp turn and the back kicked out in the wet and i didn't stop before the gutter.

Straight on is the worst, because it takes to most momentum to get over the gutter, and allows the car to absorb the majority of the shock. Also, check the roof for straightness - any bend in the chassis could possibly show as ripples in the roof or warping.

i checked the roof looks straight and feels straight, the height of the front is equal on both sides and rear looks the same too. could i have possibly come away with no damage ? edit: also don't know if this matters either, but the wheels are the original 16 inch, so would the bigger tyres have helped possibly ? i also drove it for a little while after and the alignment seemed straight and done full lock turns both left and right and weren't any drama's there that i could tell, seemed all the same. Are there any specific things i should be able to feel from driving it to suggest something is broken or messed up ?

I'd also get an alignment as that will tell you if anything is out... even if the steering wheel feels straight

Definately worth the money to get one of those Pedders 28 point safety checks, even if everything seems alright. Two pairs of eyes are better than one, unless you're trying to get laid. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol, well guys i went to Pedders got a wheel alignment they said it all checked out fine, but they did find that my shocks were soft and there was freeplay (oil leak) in the boot chamber ? he said something about it building up with oil and then eventually it will expand and blow up ?
