Last night on the way to a mates place to watch the rugby I drove over an open manhole and wrecked a couple of my 19 Rials. It was hailing and dark at the time so I didnt even see it it was a massive bang though Front left - bent and cracked Rear left - bent Rial rims are special order from Germany so 4 weeks minimum before replacement rims arrive Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hard to prove man, the manhole cover was back on today when I went back to take photos I bought another set of 19s today to use until the insurance gets sorted and the replacement rims arrive. It’s my work car, so I need it on the road as soon as possible

bad luck dude.. had a similar thing happen to me with some roadworks. They should compensate you for the damages.

I think I'll just claim insurance. I can't be bothered dealing with the council I just bought these as tempory rims until the replacement Rial's arrive from Germany I'm getting them painted black at the moment, so will have them on the car in a few days Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

My dad popped a tyre on some kind of metal bracket that was on a drain, I think he got compensation from the council but it took alot of pissing about.. You're lucky your VL is gone, something like that would take most of the kit off wouldn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if a man hole ripped my diff out I nearly hit an open one in my 2L when I pulled over on a rural road onto some gravel, didn't realise I was hitting loose ground until it was too late so I locked it up and understeered barely missing it, on the same trip I went too fast over some railways, we heard a loud bang and then were convinced we could smell petrol for the next half hour It was fine though. If you can be bothered with the hassle then I'd go for the council pay out, anything you can do to get your taxes back! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

They'll only be on for a few months until I get 2 replacement Rials. I still like the silver mesh look on that car best Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Gutted to hear Alex... Bloody sh!tty NZ roads! - I know first hand about them! I'm not really keen on black mags though. Unless the have a large polished dish, then i'm not really a fan of any coloured mags... But each to their own.
