Thinking of selling my BT1

Hey guys, just been thinking about selling my VL. Car would not be sold with the engine, suspension or brakes that are currently on the car, these will all be used for the next project. Car will be sold with another engine, front mount cooler and suspension and brake setup, mostly stock. The car would be comming with all the custom interior and a set of rims. Just trying to see what kind of interest there is for a car like this, and how much people would be willing to pay for it. I want a dedicated track car, and I just cant justify pulling this one apart to the extent that I want to go. Cheers

100 billion dollars! Engine bay has just been freshly repainted as well. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks Charles, for the few people that are interested in it as a roller, I dont want to sell it like that, as I want to keep it together as it is for someone else to use, I dont want to strip it down to nothing, otherwise I would just full cage it and sell the interior, which might still be the way it goes instead of starting with a shell only.

No probs Nick, but if I strip it to a shell, im in the same position as I would be when I get a new shell to cage up. So it will either go as a complete car, or get caged up and raced.

If you were to have a dedicated race car what would the differences be to what you have at the moment? Obviously interior, what else? I know BT1s are worth good money... a nice stock one like this would probably go for around 10k maybe more. Is it a case of selling this, gaining more money and then spending that on a race car? I can see the point here. I just cant see the point if theres not going to be too many differences. Anyone whos seen the car knows its immaculate and its owner is absolutely anal about it, thats what makes it so nice, attention to detail. Which ever way you go jase, best of luck. Brett

One of the comfiest back seats Ive ever built as well!!! I think your just going soft in your old age dude. Ive been tossing up the idea of offloading mine as well but I cant bring myself to do it. Maybe turn it into a highway warrior on friday nights or try get out in it a bit more and enjoy it for being what it is, an awesome street car! Seriously, buy a go-kart man - if you do, I will!

Ha ha thanks boys, I really dont want to/cant bring myself to pull it apart and make it into a full race car, Im talking no interior at all, full cage at cams specs, like a spiderweb, side impact bars the whole lot. The car really is too nice to basically trash it to what I want. Steve come to a track day, Ill take you for a passanger lap and tell me in total honesty carts compare at all to letting 340 rwkw loose out of the corners. Not to mention the brakes on it now! Still not sure what im going to do yet, this is just a thought at the moment, but after having a mate total his car at the track and having mainly the cage to thank for being able to walk and talk, mine is getting right on the edge of stupidity around the track with out the cage.

Im always up for a passenger lap. And yes given the situation letting loose in a car is completely different to a kart. I guess all im saying is your at the point now that so few are at it is a shame to turn it into a race car that really will have very limited use and pretty high running costs! Besides in a go kart you can go crashing and bashing with little expense compared to a car Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
