You get what your pay for. There isnt huge markup on $1000+ plenums, and this one is brand new for $320. Get what you pay for.

I think its a good plenum for the price, but of course it would have to be tested.

these are good plenums. ive been using one for a while without problems and a mate of mine has been using one on his sr20 without problems. this guy seems to know what hes going on about in regards toi what hes doing. might consider selling them on the site soon.

have sold a lot of stuff to toby over the years, definately knows what he is on about. These look great, no reason why they wouldnt work. in regards to the price, i think you will see them probably double in the near future, as he has made a few and priced them very cheap to generate interest (and isnt making a cent of them!)... just like threads like this one he is a great fabricator, makes tanks, fuel cells etc as well. can trust you are getting a top notch product if you buy it from him. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It hasnt been slapped together at all, lot of time and effort has been put into it to get the right combination of bends and sheet alloy so it all welds up nicely. Weld beads are also consistant, straight, and spot on. Ive had a JD one on my last car, definately the goods too!

if you dont grind down the welds and polish the alloy there is no way to avoid that 'disgusting' look. tig welding alloy will always look like a raised bead like that. but thats what most people like about custom alloy products (usually, gives it that real hand made fabricated look) e.g. bend welded by jd customs on jamies intercooler pipes and plenum. weld quality looks identicle to me. same plenum with ground down and polished welds its very time consuming grinding down the welds and then fully polishing the manifold, takes AGES. i hate doing it! jamie does it for $100 extra on his plenums, he must have a killer machine which does it quick because it takes me forever to do it normally lol but like you said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. just want to make sure people dont get the wrong idea here, because from a fabricators point of view, the weld quality and quality of the product looks very high and far from disgusting.
