hi all i came across a 1986 white vl exec auto with 22,000kms.thats not a mistake only 22,000kms. its genuine one owner with all papers full service history/log books from dealership from where it was purchased and serviced. its in a town about 3-4 hrs out of melb. i cant describe how straight the body is including all bumpers plastics and the interior is immaculate biege, standard head unit still inplace. all service papers are intact and u can see how the invoices get updated year by year so i dont think there fake but the car speaks for itself still looks like its just come off the showroom. the asking price is $3,800 just curious for some opinions on weather its worth it or what u might think it would be worth considering its a n/a exec???? i cant afford this car at the moment if anyone is interested in this car it is located in the holden dealership in mansfield which is 30min before mt bulla in melb

Its a rare car.. theres pretty much NONE around like it. But in saying this I dont think its worth much. Its not a rare model or anything of the sort. Its like having a low km VH... VK... etc... rare as most of them have high km's now but not a rare model in itself. I think $3800 is a bargain if you intend to keep it as it is and not drive it. Maybe put it in a few shows each year.

yeh it depends what you want to do with it.. how much is it worth to you.. like progmh said, its not really rare though.

it is rare, rare to find a very low km's car thats 22 years old. its not a special model like a brock or walky but id bet theres more km's on those cars over this one.

Hmmm, dont know. Seems a bit wrong to use it as a parts car. Its survived this long in that condition. May not really be rare, but its definantly unique. Just keep it as is. It'd be a bit like a time warp driving and looking at it. A normal average 1986 VL probably had that sort of mileage back in 1987 - 1990. Who was the owner of it? They musnt have driven much.

if i came across this car and had the money i'd buy it and just keep it stored. start it up daily etc. but never drive it. seem to be starting to be a purist lol. wish i could find an old xr falcon like that lol.

yeah thats exactly same as me, id buy it and keep it as is, later on she will be worth more money, if its in the same cond... as long as you have the room to store it off topic, what sort of xr are you after wpn_vl...

The interior (seats) that came with bt1's is different to that of SL's, Exec's etc. They have a different pattern, which is quite obvious if you look at them both closely.
