Hey guys... As we all know the eastlink open up today to public traffic and is currently toll free for a few weeks I came up with an idea today which could be a possible thought for a cruise. A cruise could be organised to use the eastlink... maybe start near epping way.. cruise down the eastern to the start of the eastlink and continue the whole way down to a meet point somewhere near frankston or the south east suburbs... It would be a long cruise and good way for ppl to get to know the eastlink and get some good photos along the way. Meet points and all the usual stuff would have to be organised and as i am not a major member someone else might have more of an idea about doing this Everyone put your suggestions in reagarding this to see if the numbers could make it happen i reckon it would be great Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well it took my grandma like 2.5 hours to get from rosebud to coburg using that and it was bumper to bumper lol... maybe when tolls on it wont be so congested haha

went down there just then not very much traffic but there was quite a few cops around. im sure it will be ok in a few days when people stop sight seeing. ill give ya hot tip not too bad at night its lit up like christmas

But thats peak hour traffic... Late at night wouldn't be so busy. But **** me that's asking for it, I bet the cops would be out in force especially since the speed cameras aren't operational yet.

yea i reckon even a night cruise would be good and give notice to the relevant ppl... speed cameras arent operational yet but the surveilance cameras are so ppl would have to behave themselves anyway... instead of ppl getting lost quickly on the way there or during the cruise its pretty much one big road to stay on with plenty of room Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i believe that would be a sick idea, yeh no speed cameras yet just the hwy patrol speed cameras. ive made the first make in the tunnel xD as u leave ringwood and drive under the tunnel towards springy rd 100ms in the tunnel is a nice skin line xD (handbrake) haha but yeh would be a wicked cruise, and its all lit up at nite and everybody can dose in the tunnel hah

a P-plater got caught last night on eastlink doing 135kmh plus lost his license for a month....

sh!t idea, any idea how many cops will be out? your probablly better off hitting the hwy

"hoons taken over eastlink" etc? i think its a little too soon to be honest. itll be made to look like all the hoons are claiming more territory for burnouts, racing etc...and the ****head p plater that got caught doing way over the speed limit doesnt help either.

yeah im not serious about the headlines, im just saying...i dont think cruises up and down the brand new eastlink will go down too well with the anti-hoon public. i doubt theyd see it as a harmless cruise.

eastlink = speed camera heaven = dont f*cking speed or you'll get LICKED!
