Hey everyone I have been a "player" on this site for a long time now and thought i may aswell start a thread about my car.. I only just bought it a week or two ago off a middle aged man who got it off his dad, who's had the car since brand new. Its completely stock from mudflaps to factoy tape deck with just only 200,000kms on the odometre. the car runs very smoothly and engine sounds like brand new... I bought the car with the intention to turbo it straight away but have since decided to get the car looking abit better, and waiting to have alot more funds so i can do the conversion using the best of parts and having it a reliable cruiser. Heres some photos of how it looked when i first got it, the immac interior is what got me to purchase the car, it looks as though no-one has sat in the rear seat. The only bad points about this car which is not visible in the photo's is that the glove box is broken, the side moulds are cracked, and there are a few trolley dings in the sides but what can you expect from a 20 year old car The first things i did when i got the car home was remove the brake light which was located inside the rear window, and remove the seat covers. It stayed like this for a day or two before i purchased some rear venetions, some new tail lights (which i think make the car look alot cleaner) and got it lowered on king springs super lows all round. I got sick of the 14's with non original hubcaps so i purchased some 15x7" chasers off a fellow ct member sprigzy, i resprayed them and got some new tyres put on from a mate at bob jane and chucked them on. The car is currently looking like this, Im getting an alarm tomorrow. I'm also booking the car in for an exhaust sometime this week or next, going for a 2 1/2" cat back with a dump tip as i dont see the point in wasting my money on extractors etc if im only going to turbo it later on.. and lets face it, an auto n/a is never going to be fast. Future plans is to get some 18" Vy ss's and depending on what the ride height looks like with them on, maybe ultra lows in rear. I'm gonna purchase some mint beige calais interior, and I'm also going to get the car resprayed in abit darker maroon before turbo conversion. Now lets hope the car doesn't get stolen before I turbo it, unlike my last one! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I picked up some door trims for $50 along with a new glovebox from U-PULL-IT which i think is quite a good find, and in such good condition compared to everything else in cars at that place. I Also picked up some 18" VY SS rims from a member on this site New exhaust got done aswell With rims on front, getting tyres for other two rims shortly.. Yeh the cars going fine so far, latest update is the stage II trans built to hold 300rwkw, vlt lsd diff, and berlina interior with scheels front seats, all out of NSNPWR's berlina.. but you've already seen in the other thread i've got next mods will be front brake upgrade, new shocks and ultra low kings in rear some recent pics for this thread.. the seats im pickin up.. more updates soon after i've installed diff and trans, me and a mate are going to try and do it outselves. Congrats on buying the trans and diff and scheels mate. Im getting a trans built very similar and by MV's too with a few extra goodies haha they're good fun. How long till shes turbo? Buy Jetvl086's VY twin spot caplipers with lines. Great upgrade, and get hub adapters and your set

cheers man, yeh i cant wait for it all to be in the car should be great. might be awhile yet until its turbo, as i said need the front brake upgrade first and would like the ultra's in rear aswell and it all cost money and im on **** wages lol im also picky and i dont want just some dodgey n/a converted i want it all done so in the future i may have something with the same quality as nsnpwr, the sc blokes silver berlina etc. getting there slowly..

Ok, abit of an update, I've sold the VY SS rims to put some money towards a respray so its back on chasers, I also got horizontal side venetions and removed the badges. shouldn't too much longer before paint Its so hard to decide whether to stay maroon but abit darker and different,or just change the colour completely as im getting a full spray anyways... every vl i see i think "oh that colours sick" and then have second thoughts about maroon, but i still have some time to save up and also to get a solid opinion on paint Btw, the dash is currently completely out as im chucking in a cd player and im cleaning all the sand and filth from behind there. plans have now stopped, its now remaining as only a daily as i picked up a far cleaner vl with everything i wanted done to this now happening on the other one.. I'll make a thread one day when its worth it lol.

Update.. and the new one, 70,000kms it'll stay home til its finished turbo conversion etc then become weekender. but its mint will make a thread when theres some progress. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah im fine, some old lady pulled out infront of me on my way to work.. but it was totally her fault, she got a fine and all i ended up gettin 2g for it, but i bought it back coz i need the diff. I love the new berlina though, much more then the old one haha.. washed it today, heres some pics. btw the boot strip is off coz i got it painted it'll be on soon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
