9C1 is the code for Aust police pack
sunroof may be aftermarket or sometimes cars with weird options slip through due to shortages of particular models or it may even have been ordered that way by police
i also doubt a leather interior very much.
i know that they had ss's as highway patrol cars, but none of the ve's ive seen have leather, or sunroofs for that matter... so i doubt the vy's would have.
why would vic police waste the money...
it might have been a senior officers car that he leased personally as part of his package hence he could get whatever options he wanted
is there a link to this car?? I imagine it's one you've found for sale?

Well they wasted money on promotional vehicles such as a 300C and a baby Hummer, which would total all up like $120,000 roughly?
So I don't see why one sunroof on a car would stretch their budget toooooooooo much.

those cars (300C and Hummer) were probably loaned to the police by the suppliers so no real $ cost.
They are always getting offers of free loan/promo cars
plus in the case i'm talking about the police don't pay the lease, it's payed by the specific officer who actually leases the car out of his pay
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
vy ss police 5.7 litres deffinely exist. although as above they are not plated BT1 as that plate is outdated.
leather and sunroof are unheard of. either aftermarket add ons or possibly it was owned by the police but isn't built to chaser spec.
Sorry for the late reply guys.
There is no link for the car as its for sale but not advertised. Word of mouth from friend of a friend.
So im heading down this weekend to have a look at it.
Ill let you guys know how i go.
Cheers for the help though, Appreciate it.
should sAY 9c1 on tags. Ive been pulled over by a VYSS undercover that had leather trim. When i asked to see the radar gun reading i was actually suprised to see the leather so it is possible. As for s/roof not sure.
