hey guys cant really decide which engine to go with. most of you NZ guys should no what im building (VL GTR). RB30ETT - Cheap, loom already there, looks better, single cam, difficult to find performance parts for RB25/30DETT - Less cheap, Twin Cam, dosnt look as good as RB30, not a gtr part, requires new loom, easier to to performance parts for RB26/30DETT - Expensive, Best flow, gtr part, dosn't look as good, requires new loom, dam easy to find performance parts for RB20DETT - HAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA what do you guys think??

So you still going the 4WD route? It'll be a lot easier to use 26 gear cos its all set up for 4WD, there'll be no issues with mating transfer cases and gear boxes etc. The 26 setup will cost you a pretty penny tho! Oh and who gives a rats ar5e what the motor looks like? Go before show!

It's all the little details that make a car stand out above the rest

I don't understand what you're saying about the twin cams not looking good..

Twin cams look awesome. And if you're researching a 'GTR' vl, I assume you might have seen this one? If not, continue with your homework. Hope you've got plenty of spare cash...

It's all the little details that make a car stand out above the rest yer i think your right bout the theme. it would be a bit strange calling it a "VL GTR" if it just has regular skyline parts in it.

why not just save up and buy a r33 gtr? because when your vl's done it'l pretty much be a skyline anyway. im not sure what a r33 is worth but just off what ive spent from turboing mine and tidying it up ive spent roughly $14000. buy building "VL GTR" id say youd spend alot more than what i did. so save yourself alot of trouble and frustration and buy a r33.
