There is something not right with my steering. It has been pulling randomly left and right depending on road surface. When im on a very flat road it slightly goes to the right - whcih obviously means wheel allignment time. But when i hit a rough spot in the road or a groove etc, the car pulls towards it. It doesn't favour one dirrection it will do it in both, its at its most extreem when i am traveling over 60km/h or comming to a stop at the lights going slow. Is this also just a symptom of bad wheel allignment or something else. Car turns fine btw Any ideas? Also it has been doing it ever since i put 18s on it.. 225s or im just noticing it more now than before because they make the steering heavier. Cheers!

Welcome to the world of large rims Mines doing the same thing since i put my 18s on with 235 rubber. I dont think theres anything to do to fix it. Very frustrating on old roads at cruising speeds or slower, But they feel great at speed on nice roads Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers! exactly right, i would be checking all your control arm bush's, balljoints and tie rod ends. its definatley something worn. my vh does the exact same thing, its the lower control arm bushs on mine. OK I just thought they would track more being a bigger wider and lower profile tyer. I might cheak over my front end for any wear. Thanks PSI_wagon for the info.

That problem can be made a lot better by adding more caster (provided nothing is worn causing the problem)

What else can be worn to do this other then lower control arm bushs? Mine does it bad at low speeds on lumpy roads annoying as correcting it all the time. Other then that it drives really nice

Yeah a mate of mine Pmac has the exact same problem only when he puts his 17s on, other than that its fine on 15s. I cant really check myself and dont want to get a steering and suspension check from anywhere because i know they just rip you off

Mine does exactly the same. It's damn annoying to. All my front suspension is brand new and I have 18's so I think even if your suspension is new or old it will still do the same. It would all have to do with the caster/camber angles. More caster and more toe in would help.

i was thinking the other day, ive youve been driving around with flogged out lower control arms (front) its possible that its caused some damage to where it mounts to the car. even if its gone 1mm wider than it should be, could be enough to cause this ^even if everything is Brand New.

True, that wouldnt take much wear to make it feel sloppy

They usually pick it to pieces. At least if you know what's wrong, you can source all the parts cheap and try and get someone to do it cheaply for you.

^ exactly! i did that a while back, cost $14 took them 30 mins to get my car on the hoist (35mm off the ground lol), anyways after they did the check the guy came out to me and started going through what they found. after he tried to sting me over $2000 !!!! i said, "ok thanks, bye" man was he not impressed haha.
