i have been reading some threads regarding this and here are my thaughts!
this is honest genuine advice from someone who did years of r&d in lpg for the old gas and fuel.
"GO LPG INJECTION"
LPG INJECTION
MUCH MORE TUNEABLE than ANY other type of gas system
the other good thing about it is the injectors can be hooked up to most aftermarket ecu's / nistuned factory ecu and tuned to almost perfection
LOAD BASED VAPOUR SYSTEMS
second best type systems with either simple mixers (gas rings) or the better complex mixers (impco type) these may not be capable than more than 250 rwkw un modified but offer good driveability and economy! modified (illegal for road use! if you care) is capable of 350rwkw!
THROTTLE BASED SYSTEMS
these offer good power capabilities out of the box but should have been left in forklifts. YES you can make big power and good driveability but hardly ever both with the one set up most of you who have had this type of system would agree! some will have had success but the percentages are low.
the main reason for this is (going back to the basic ohc brand (ill leave gra out of this but it essentially works the same) being throttle based its more suited to na cars why?
eg: when @ 50% throttle you have the same mixture wether under load (vacuum) no load (wot) or boost this means you have 1 tune setting for all theese conditions. some of you will say ahh but you have a boost (reference) line true but just as you need to spend months trying to get the taper of the slide right you then also pull your hair out getting the spring rate for the reference corect. unless you add electronics to adjust the reference line preasure as i have done in the past!
all systems work and with time (expence to most) can be good but you have my recomendations
