Hey, got a gt35/40 .70 compressor, 1.06 ford xr6 turbo spec with a 12.5psi actuator only problem is that im only seeing 4psi from it, i can bleed it off with the bleed t piece valve iv got but thats not really the right thing to do, also if i remove the hose to the actuator it will easily run higher boost(keeping an eye on the boost gauge and using the accelator to regulate it), and seems hell of alot more responsive boost comes on (faster and hard it seems), iv tried repositioning the actuator as well as removing the t piece bleed valve, and using different diameter hose.
The actuator is feed directly from the compressor, and my boost gauge is feed from a dedicated line from the manifold, i realise there should be a slight presure drop across the cooler/piping but not this much, theres no leaks all hoses are tight.
Any ideas? is my actuator need replacing? is there anything other solutions or things i could try cheers.

sounds to me like the actuator is fkd man, replace it!

Sounds like the accuators spring in the accuator has worn, Theres enough pressure there to keep the gate shut when not connected but as soon as it sees any boost its probly creeps open a little.

you could try running the vacuum line from the actuator to the manifold and check if there's any difference, just to rule out possible boost leaks.

*** you would hear a boost leak that big lol be very obviouse.

true. just noticed he also said it boosts higher when the actuator line is removed, so that rules that out.
sounds like the actuator/spring then.

You could cheak for boost leak but im 99.9% sure its your accuator spring tension. Had a similar problem boost didnt come on hard, and felt gutless.
Just get enoughter accuator and try it.
