Holden 1988 VL Turbo BT1 Automatic 3L White 1988 VL Turbo BT1 for sale. Located in Brisbane. I have owned it for over 5 years but am selling it to move overseas. Looking for a quick sale. The engine was given a full rebuild with refreshed high-flowed turbo under 3 years ago. I have all receipts if you want them. Everything is all original in the engine bay. Has not been boosted past stock since rebuild. Never had the money to do anything worthwhile with it, so kept it nice and stock. Runs excellently, as good as just after rebuild, has occasional noisy lifter but it is a VL so not much you can do about that. Has original engine pipe from turbo, and a 2.5 inch exhaust back from that. Auto gearbox is solid, I think it has a non-standard 2500 stall. Still has original LSD which seems solid. Has some nice 16inch rims. Was told they are HDT but I don't reckon they are. But I haven't seen them elsewhere and I like them. I just put 2 new tyres on front. Rears still have life in them too. Suspension is FE2 or could even be slightly lower, although it has gone undetected by insurance inspections etc. Many other treasures included: basic sony stereo and amp (sub has carked it though); i have a few calais body parts and a boost controller etc from before the rebuild that you can have if you want. Has calais rear lights and the calais tail piece between the lights. Has 2 immobilisers, and remote alarm/central locking, although Ive disabled the central locking cause it was bugging me. Note that I'm asking a reasonably low price because the body is rough. There is loads of potential there, with a sweet stock rebuilt engine, but yeah the body is currently rough. Nothing serious, everything is there, just a few dents etc, and a cracked brake light assembly. I will put photos up in a week or so if it doesn't sell without them. It just isn't worth my time frilling the car up to get an extra couple of bucks. Especially because anything I do will probably be taken off by the owner when they buy it anyway. I am negotiable on price, but I need money for overseas so I'm not going to give it away. Im selling it unregistered, but it is currently registered til June and I drive it regularly with no hassles.
