Whats the difference between a one peice tailshaft and the standard two peice and center bearing? Just curiouse if its a neccessity to run decent numbers or is it just for show...or for nothing really or what? Thanks

lol tdoyle88 so tell me again whats the difference between one piece and single piece? :P SHY_VLT, people use the 1 piece shaft for extra strength and less breakable parts. the downside is you cant lower your car as the 1 piece hits the floorpan, where the standard 2-piece pivots from the middle section and will clear the floor Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Dont have any problems with it hitting the undercarriage even on hard transbrake launches.

i also got a 1 peice in my vl and the benefits are preety much commen sence with the 2 piece the unis and the middle bit of the tailshaft gets ***d after 20years of wear and tear but the 1 peice isnt like that no unis to worry about. and with the tailshaft hitting the floorplan it depends how thick the tailshaft is when i frist got mine made it was to thick so then they had to think of a better solution so they got the hq tailshaft choped it up and put my r33 yoke on it and balanced and sprayed it the only reason why i got it done was i couldnt find a mx7 tailshaft at the time so i bought a r33 tailshaft which is a 2 peice for 200bux and then i bought another hq tailshaft they used the yoke from the r33 on the hq tailshaft and its been sweet ive had it in there for more then a year now. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i ust work for hardy spicer and it was company policy not to make one pc shafts for commodore becacse they had one come out and it put the car on its head and they got sued make sure you allways run a loop and the 1pc hangs down lower at the front unless there real low 3 degrees is the recomended max angle fo a uni to run at you can build wild 2 pc shafts i usto build them for the touring cars and thet are around 500-600hp and when they hit a ripple strip flat out and the wheels come of the ground and the engine turns to 7000rpm and land agin they dont brake but those shafts cost around $1300 -2000 hope this helps with some of the questions
