i had a new rear half of the drive shaft replaced with new universals and center bearing bout two years ago. i took the car back to the workshop bout a month after that and got them to make sure all the bolts were still tight (they offered to recheck them for free after they were a day late with finishing it and then if it would be on them not me!) so i droped it off walked to mcdonalds only bout 10 minute walk and while i was in there they rang me on my cell and i remember thinking that was dam fast. i got back to the workshop and i was sure the car hadnt been moved but they assured me it was done and i never gave it another thought. i was just underneath my car undoing stuff for the engine to come out and i noticed 2 of the bolts was missing on the join directly behind the center bearing so i cheacked the rest and all but one came out by hand 2 of them were bout to fall out. i hate to think what would have happened if it had come off at 100k's it is would still be conected to the diff so it wouldnt stop spinning till the car stoped moving. wouldve just bout cut the car in half. cant remember the name of the work shop it was something automotive in hamilton. i think it was advanced automotive

I've never had a good experience with either of my cars at any workshop.. I'm very much not interested in taking a car to a workshop again. Best to do everything yourself I think.. that's how I'm gonna try do it. (I thought the jobs that I had done would be too big for me, but it would've saved me heaps if I did it myself! Dodgy ****in workshops and their rip offs.)
